Help Wanted
The BYU Cougar Hockey Team is looking for volunteers for the following positions this year:
- Game day manager
- Athletic trainer (certified or upper level student preferred)
- Equipment manager
- Scheduling coordinator
- Travel coordinator
- Sponsorship/fundraising manager
- Head of publicity/advertising
- Game day announcer
- Photographer/videographer (with ability to do live video streaming)

Camp Runs Aug 11-14, 2010
BYU Hockey’s Summer Camp provides a comprehensive training program which helps young players to learn Individual Skills, Team Skills, Team Systems, and some aspects of Team Strategy. Each session builds on the skills acquired in earlier sessions.
This camp serves as an excellent “tune-up” for the upcoming season!
Here’s How to Register:
- Print out the CAMP BROCHURE
- Fill out the player information section
- Mail it in with your check for $325

The 2010 Summer Camp is directed by BYU Hockey Head Coach Stan Weiss.
Stan’s coaching career started over 20 years ago in Toronto, Canada where he was fortunate to coach some of the top young hockey players in the world.
Coaching at the ‘AAA’ level in one of the biggest hockey “hotbeds” in the world, Coach Weiss’ development system produced some of the most prolific teams in Canadian youth hockey; winning 26 of 32 major international tournaments over the course of 6 years.
After moving to Utah in 1995, Coach Weiss went on to coach at the Junior and College levels, his most recent position as Head Coach of the BYU Cougars’ hockey team.
Coach Weiss will be accompanied by his current coaching staff, as well as current and past players who understand and can effectively teach his development methods.

The Cougars have two BIG games against Utah State this weekend! Tonight’s game (Friday) is at our very own Peaks arena at 7:30 p.m. There are only three home games left so don’t miss it. Tomorrow’s game (Saturday) is in Logan at the Eccle’s Ice Rink. It starts at 7:15 p.m. and is about a two hour drive so leave early!
What better way to spend Valentine’s weekend than watching an intense hockey game or two with your honey?

This is a big weekend for the Cougars! BYU is playing Northern Colorado this Friday, January 29, at the Peaks arena at 7:30. The very next day, January 30, we’re up against the University of Utah, same place and same time. These are 2 of only 5 home games left this season so don’t miss them! (more…)

BYU was scheduled to play UVU last Friday at the Peaks arena. Those of you who came to the game, however, may have been surprised to see a different team playing named the Provo Ice Dogs. Earlier last week, UVU suspended their ACHA membership for various reasons. The team BYU played on Friday was most of the UVU players (with a few additions) but was not officially the school’s team. BYU’s game against UVU last weekend was one of our most exciting and intense games of the season. If you were one of the unlucky ones who missed it, don’t worry! BYU is playing UVU again this Friday, January 22 at 7:30. It’s only $7 for adults and $5 for students so bring a date and get to the Peaks ice arena early! This will be a game you don’t want to miss.
